Winderlea Vineyard & Winery
I am writing on behalf of Carolyn Wells-Kramer and CWK Photography. I have worked and hired Carolyn for a number of assignments over the past 3 ½ years in a variety of capacities. I am the owner of Winderlea Vineyard and Winery; the Vice President of the Dundee Hills Winegrowers Association; the Dinner and Events Chair for the local Chapter of the Chevalier du Tastevin and for the past 2 years the chair of the iSalud! Pinot noir auction. In each of these capacities I have hired Carolyn as an event or project photographer for the organizations noted above.
Since Carolyn moved into the Oregon wine community, she has quickly established herself as one of the premiere photographers in the industry and the area. She has a fresh eye and unique approach to her work with her clients and projects. The most significant piece of work that I have hired Carolyn for is for photography for the members of the Dundee Hills Winegrowers Association. An association with nearly 50 members (primarily vineyard and winery owners), we contracted with Carolyn to photograph each of our members – in their unique environment – to tell a story of our AVA and its members. This was an exhaustive task, not only finding the right way to tell the story of each individual winery and vineyard owner through photo – but the planning and execution of the project was also significant. Our association and individual members were thrilled with the outcome and the association now has a library of photos that we can use to tell the story of the Dundee Hills.
The photographs Carolyn has taken of my winery and our staff (Winderlea Vineyard and Winery) have been the best photographs we have ever had taken. They have become iconic components to our story and have been picked up in a range of publications and have become the foundational pieces of many of our ads and our brochures.
In addition to Carolyn’s sense of space, light, detail and texture in her photography – she is easy to work with. She puts her subjects at ease and is able to capture the essence of a person – or a space.
Carolyn is also highly professional, meets deadlines and is flexible with her approach to working on projects.
I recommend Carolyn and the quality of her work with complete confidence.

Bergstrom Wines, LLC
My name is Josh Bergstrom and I am Owner and General Manager of Bergstrom Wines LLC. in Newberg Oregon. Bergstrom Wines is a family owned and operated winery who specializes in Oregon Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We grow, produce and sell our products across the entire United States and in 15 foreign markets. Bergstrom Wines has worked with several of America’s top photographers for our website, brochures, advertisements and articles in highly ranked wine and food publications throughout the past 14 years. I can say without a doubt that working closely with Carolyn Wells Kramer over the past two years has been the highlight of all of these relationships thus far.
Carolyn’s work and approach is always of the highest quality, well thought-out, mindful of the task at hand and the desired finished product as well as respectful of the client she is working with and the environment that she is working in.
I also believe that Carolyn’s photography has a wonderful personality to it. She has a great eye for detail and a knack for portraying a subject or a subject matter in the best light which also best reflects the individual mood or situation.
I would recommend Carolyn Wells Kramer for any photography project. She has surpassed all of our expectations on our photography projects including: portraits, aerial photography, landscapes, product shots and much more. She has the professionalism, skill sets and integrity to do any photography project in my humble opinion.

Josh Bergstrom General Manager, Winemaker, Vineyard Manager - Bergstrom Wines LLC.
We have worked with CWK photography for many years on various projects. Carolyn’s photographic prints grace the walls of our tasting room and feature images of the winery, grape vines and vineyard landscapes. In addition, she photographed our staff in action shots during harvest, portraits of our staff for the website and an official portrait of our owners.
She has an amazing ability to capture a sense of place with her landscape photography which conveys the beauty of the Willamette Valley and specifically our vineyards. Her portraits capture a real sense of the subject that is thoughtful and genuine.
CWK has provided Adelsheim Vineyard with photography for our special events, website, tasting room and the bottle shots that are used in promotional materials.

Domaine Serene Winery and Vineyard, Inc.
Domaine Serene has relied on CWK Photography to provide compelling and artistic images since 2011. Over the past year she has done extraordinary work for the winery. From bottle shots, which we use on all our printed materials, to product placement images that are a part of our national advertising campaigns, to dramatic harvest images and breathtaking vineyard shots; one of which hangs proudly in the main entrance to our facility. Her style and attention to detail are unmatched and her eye for creating that “perfect image” is exceptional. I would highly recommend Carolyn Wells-Kramer to anyone looking to turn their concept and vision into stunning photography.

I have worked with CWK photography on numerous projects, professionally for several wineries, as well as privately. Those projects have covered a spectrum of settings and directives. Carolyn’s eye is ever roaming; looking to, and effectively, capturing special moments and images that organically tell a subjects story. However she is equally capable of producing high quality, highly directed work intended to support the narrative of a person or organization. I believe that of all the photographers in Wine Country, she best tells our story. She lives among us, immersed in our culture, a member of our community. She isn’t limited by the vantage point of an outsider looking in. Being “with” us she understands our work and our passion and can capture the parts of our story that other photographers don’t even know exist.

Coeur de Terre Vineyard
We hired Carolyn Wells-Kramer Photography in Fall 2010 to assist us in capturing the essence of Coeur de Terre Vineyard. This session was to include capturing our family in our farm setting, in the vineyard the morning of harvest and the spirit of crush in our winery facility for the 2010 Vintage.
Carolyn did an amazing job of conveying what we feel defines not only our family but our livelihood and passion. We have since used these images in different marketing pieces, as requested for articles that have included Coeur de Terre Vineyard and in promoting our products. Aside from the amazing professionalism and diversity of material provided, Carolyn did a wonderful job of conveying up front her work policy, payment policy and receipt of photos. She was very upfront and diligent in working to take the photos at the crack of dawn for harvest all the way to capturing the best light in the vineyard at sunset.
We highly recommend Carolyn Wells-Kramer Photography and will use her again.

I have a fear of having my picture taken and I have a reason to be afraid! I always look horrible and in line of work I can’t afford to look bad. I am forced to need pictures of myself for promotional materials, and after being disappointed over and over again, someone suggested that I try Carolyn. She changed my life and I ended up buying more pictures than I needed; I just couldn’t let them get away. Carolyn will be the only photographer that I will hire to ever take my picture. I am happy for the first time ever and I am not letting her get away.
Denise Bacon, Newberg Council President Candidate for Yamhill County Commissioner
As an un-photogenic public official, I have always struggled with liking any pictures taken of me. Carolyn Wells-Kramer changed that. I first met Carolyn after I agreed to be a “model” in a newspaper ad for my friend Erin’s yoga shop. I was extremely hesitant, but Erin convinced me to do it, promising that Carolyn would make me look great. She was right! Carolyn did such a great job that I hired her to update my headshots. I can’t believe how good she made me look! She has an incredible eye. I wish I could take her with me everywhere I go just to position my head/shoulders/body and adjust the lighting so that I would always look this terrific. It is without hesitation that I recommend Carolyn Wells-Kramer to anyone who would like fabulous photos of themselves and/or their families, staff, or friends.

“We have 2 pictures that Carolyn took displayed in our tasting room. One is of our vineyard, which really connects our customers to the wine they are tasting. The second is a very creative shot of my husband's legs leaning against barrels. On an almost daily basis, people compliment one or both of the pictures!” May 21, 2012
